DeAnna Cochran has one mission behind her work: To help women, transform loss, into hope, so they can share their story and inspire others. The metalsmith and designer creates handcrafted, modern day heirlooms, in her Georgia studio. The artist’s faith driven passion is to create pieces with a meaning. While the artist loves the color and texture of her “Limited Edition” designs, it is her “Faith” focused designs and her “Wear a Story” collection where she finds the most joy in creation. DeAnna Cochran’s story is one of loss. She found joy again through her strong faith and creativity. It is her desire to share that hope with others. She has been assisting clients, non profits, ministries and some special organizations tell their story in Jewelry since 2004.
Her passion for jewelry design started as a teen working at her Aunt’s jewelry store. She fell in love with the creative process. She designed her very first ring from some old gold and diamonds. She wanted to bring new life to old pieces. Her formal study of jewelry design was at the University of North Texas. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in metalwork. She spent more than 15 successful years, in a Tech Industry, traveling the world, working with some of the best minds in the industry, and gaining inspiration from many cultures, that DeAnna Cochran Jewelry was launched. During the artist’s corporate days, she met her husband Stacey. The couple’s first child Jackson was born four months premature in 2004. The couple lost their son before he was one month old. Forever changed by this experience she began creating memorial jewelry as a way of healing. After the birth of her second child, she knew this was her calling. She retired from the corporate world leaving her position as the company’s first global operations Six Sigma Black Belt (practice that applies statistical analysis to processes to ensure high standards). She now focuses on DeAnna Cochran Jewelry full time. Today, her desire to use what she had learned in life and business to offer pieces that bring joy and hope to others through art. DeAnna is committed to her mission creating hand crafted designs that are also eco-conscious. She currently uses reclaimed gold, silver, and bronze in her designs. All diamonds are ethically sourced as well.

To this day she never forgets the purpose of her work, and where her story began. “Every day is journey of faith and trust,” she says. She still wears her first design, the band she created in her Aunt’s shop, as a reminder of the journey she has taken. “In the midst of the journey we may not understand why we are in a particular season or what it all means. What I have learned is to trust the process and God’s greater plan. Without my faith, and those around me who have been my biggest supporters, I could not imagine this journey. Yes, there have been some really tough life situations but without them, I would have missed out on some very powerful life lessons. They have given me the strength and insight I have today.”
